Challenge we faced
The OSB board subfloor required special attention and precise preparation to ensure that the parquet was stable and flat. We ensured firm and uniform contact between the parquet and the subfloor, taking special care to eliminate any voids or unevenness that could cause squeaking. Special care was also devoted to the long-term functionality of the floor, so that the parquet remained stable and durable in everyday use, while the aesthetic impression remained impeccable.
Execution
First, we prepared the OSB boards, checked their flatness and strength. The parquet was then carefully installed, board by board, with precise alignment of joints and edges. The final layer of varnish or oiling provided protection, highlighted the natural beauty of the wood and the longevity of the floor, and the apartment remained tidy throughout the process.
Results
The apartment in Zagreb now has a flat, stable and visually appealing flooring. Parquet laid on OSB boards is functional, long-lasting and easy to maintain, and contributes to the warm and elegant impression of the interior.
